4th in Idaho

We decided, VERY last minute, to go to Idaho for our 4th of July.
It was out very first family vacation with the 4 of us.
2 years ago we went to this same place with out little 8 month
old Jacob and I had just found out that I was pregnant with Peyton.
So this was our 2nd family vacation.
We don't get out much

We learned a lot though.
7 hours in a car and the kids did pretty good.
A little fussing but that's to be expected.
Wish we had a DVD player though

 The way there

Driving down the hill in Washington, looking down on Idaho

First hotel room with the kids
After soooo long in the car we were all pretty excited and hyper!
It took the kids till 12:30 in the morning to calm down and go to sleep

So, about 6:45 in the morning we wake up to Jacob crying and
caring his doggie and blanket trying to open the door to get out of
the hotel room. We think we woke up and freaked out
because he didn't know where he was. Then we
all couldn't settle down and go back to sleep so that means
6 hours of sleep = totally unpredictable children!
Another hotel side note: my children where walking around
bare foot in the hotel room and the bottom of their feet were BLACK!
YUCK! I guess Kate had that one right!
(As in John and Kate plus 8 if your confused, she made
her kids ALWAYS where shoes in hotel rooms and we
thought she was just being crazy... but no!
BTW say what you want, I still love that show!)

Finally there!

I shoulda been a cow girl

Down at the river, just bein cute!

They both where eating sand like candy... um yuck!

Watching the fire works

The 4th

The 3 boys lighting them off

On the way home. Jacob LOVES that book!
He threw up about 30 seconds after I took that picture... nuf said.
That was a mommy first!

All in all it was a fun trip. It was challenging with these 2 because
we had never done it before and we didn't know what to expect. Plus
their nap time was all messed up.
Our neighborhood actually puts on a REALLY good
firework show and I'm really sad that I missed it because I
LOVE taking firework photos!
It was fun, but we may not be going anywhere for a while
